Install APU Ride

Installing pins the ride board to your home screen and opens it fullscreen, with the green AP icon you saw at signup. No app store, no account, no extra permissions.

iPhone / iPad — Safari

    Open Safari

    PWA installation only works in Safari on iOS, not Chrome or other browsers.

    Tap the Share icon

    It is the square with an upward arrow in the bottom toolbar.

    Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen

    Pick a name (default: APU Ride).

    Tap Add

    The icon appears on your home screen and opens fullscreen with no browser chrome.

Android — Chrome / Edge / Samsung Internet

    Open the site in Chrome

    Other Chromium browsers behave the same way.

    Tap the three-dot menu in the top right

    On Samsung Internet it is at the bottom right.

    Tap Install app or Add to Home screen

    Some Chrome versions show an Install banner directly.

    Confirm Install

    Android adds it to the home screen and the app drawer.

Desktop — Chrome / Edge / Brave

    Open the site in Chrome or Edge

    Firefox and Safari on macOS do not currently install Web Apps.

    Click the install icon in the address bar

    Looks like a small monitor with a down-arrow on its right side.

    Or use the menu

    Three-dot menu -> Install APU Ride (Chrome), or Apps -> Install this site (Edge).

    Confirm Install

    The app opens in its own window and is pinned to Dock / Taskbar.

Tip

If a previous version of the icon is still cached, open the site, pull-to-refresh once, then reinstall. The icon updates after the new service worker activates (usually one navigation later).
